We opened the first Poundland store on the 13th of December 1990. Our vision was to offer the customers value for money with prices that couldn’t be beat and in the process, inadvertently changed the British High Street and the way people shop forever.

I am very proud that 85% of all people in Britain have been into, or shopped in a Poundland store.

I have also acted as a Retail Ombudsman, to oversee the department responsible for dealing with complaints from consumers and retailers all over the UK.
